Why doesn’t glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

You have seen many glue cans and bottles like fevicol. As we use it in our daily life if anything is broken or for some craft stuff right? The glue is stick is a great invention. But have you ever wondered that why doesn’t white glue stick to the inside of the bottle? Today we will get to know about this.

The standard white glue that we use is composed of two key components. 1. Polymers are a sticky / stretchy material. 2. Water, which holds the glue liquid. When you use glue to stick a sheet of paper or a wooden plank (see below picture). The water is exposed to the elements. Eventually, the water evaporates. Glue dries and hardens as the water evaporates. All that remains are the sticky polymers that hold everything together.

When white Glue is inside a bottle, there’s not enough air inside the bottle to cause the water to evaporate to make the glue sticky. The bottle protects the glue from the air and keeps the glue runny.
